Worms 2 armageddon12/29/2023 Httpv://If there is one element of Armageddon that shines above all others it is the overall style of the game. While it might be frustrating at times, there are some truly nail biting moments in the game, most notably the “down to the wire” one worm versus one worm showdowns. Towards the end the game begins to swing in favor of the opposing team so much so that I had to question whether I was even enjoying myself. There were many times throughout my entire campaign where I found myself constantly fighting to execute the proper action. Armageddon was clearly not developed to be very controller friendly. The biggest factor that exacerbates the frustration beyond belief is the controls. There were times early on where I felt that the opposing worms were making the same mistakes I would expect from another human player (a misjudged grenade toss that instead kills the thrower), and then other times it feels like the game is working against you changing wind conditions to favorable during enemy turns and then returning to normal. Combat can become frustrating at times, so I recommend playing Worms 2 in small doses. During the course of a round, crates containing health or weapons will occasionally drop and the water level will rise. If the round timer runs down to 0:00 before a team claims victory, every worm's HP drops to 1, creating a sudden death scenario. In addition to timing individual player turns, each round has a 20-minute time limit. The player is usually allocated 60 seconds per turn to move their worm around the battlefield and attack the opponent worms, though this time limit is customisable when playing non-career games. Each team takes turns controlling one of their worms. The game is played in rounds with each worm starting with 100 hit points. You can also choose from a variety of settings to battle in and make your own schemes and teams. The weapons and gadgets you use in battle include grenades, homing missiles, bazookas, cluster bombs, banana bombs (a Worms staple), dynamite, air strikes, shotguns, and many more. The goal of the game is to defeat the opposing army through reducing the health points of enemy worms using various types of weaponry while avoiding friendly fire and other obstacles. In Worms: Open Warfare, the player takes control of an army of worms. The game spawned a sequel, Worms: Open Warfare 2, which is also available on Nintendo DS and PlayStation Portable. The game marked Team17's return to its 2D roots. There are several other Worms video games in the Worms series. It was developed by Team17 and published by THQ for the PlayStation Portable and Nintendo DS. Worms: Open Warfare is an artillery strategy game.
